Captain Morgan

Lovely home, beautifully furnished. Accommodated our multi-family group well. Kitchen contained everything we needed. Quick, helpful reply to request for help with light/fan switches. Inflatable mattresses were great to have. Landscaping and porches were lovely. We appreciated the WiFi and having multiple TVs for our various groups to enjoy separately. A/C worked well. The boardwalk to the beach is one of the things we love most about the community, and this home’s proximity to the town center is a plus in our opinions. Great for walking and biking with children.

The house was incredible - spacious, great location, community pool. Close to the bay and the little main street area. It was easy to book and communications from you were timely and filled with great info. We also loved the $250 beach gear credit and used it to rent bicycles that we used the entire week.

4 couples traveled from Dothan, AL to try our luck at scalloping as soon as the season opened. We chose Captain Morgan as our rental. We were very impressed by everything at this beautiful beach house. Everything was perfect except…..we only caught/picked up 7 scallops. ???
No problem though because we had the whole day on our rented pontoon boat. Lots of fun the whole week end and we’ll certainly stay at Captain Morgan again! ??????

Fairly easy walk to the beach. I liked that it’s a quiet community. You really never have to leave the community if you bring your own food. The restaurant wasn’t too great. Portions were too small for the price and sushi isn’t served everyday but it’s on the menu.

It was amazing. The house was exactly how it was pictured online, the location was perfect. Loved the neighborhood. Wish there were a few more stores and the lights were a little complicated but it was still absolutely amazing. Would definitely come back. Loved that there was a bathroom in every room and an extra shower. Comes in handy with teenagers!!!

The kids really liked the bunk room and separate living room for playing games and the outside sand play area. The large porches are a real plus and the privacy on several sides. We would stay here again. The Baytowne rental employees were very responsive to our questions. Location is very convenient to the large community pool. My one frustration was with the pushbutton light switches- there needs to be a label panel for every room - and the ceiling fan slide switches do not have a normal high setting.

Captain Morgan is a wonderful home for family vacationing. En-suite baths in all 4 upstairs bedrooms! We also loved the open feeling downstairs, too. We had many great meals in the dining area, and the large kitchen was terrific for prepping. The porches were a favorite with the kids, and a side yard for some games. Neighborhood is great for biking, we enjoyed the 4th of July parade there, too. The beach was easy to access, with calmer waters on this side of Cape San Blas, but a bit of storm related seaweed. Property is so close to Port St. Joe with restaurants, shopping, and great fishing on the bay. Everyone had fun.

We have stayed in the Windmark area before, we love the location, the pool, the boardwalks, the store. and we love this house! The house is very spacious, lots of room to spread out. close to the beach, boardwalks leading up to the front door, quiet, nice sandy yard perfect for badminton. Property managers were so quick to respond and help, very well run! We will definitely be staying here again! The only negatives would be lack of kitchen towels and washcloths(only two), and there are no "little extras" like board games, puzzles, not even a deck of cards, no beach chairs, nets for crabs, or even just a volleyball or Frisbee.

The walkways to mostly private beach were awesome! Enjoyed evening walks! I wish we could claim Captain Morgan as our vacation spot every year. The house and property managers amazing! Two drawbacks: we wanted blue water and pool could have used a cleaning.

This was our 2nd stay at Captain Morgan. All was perfect. Plenty of space for all of us and a wonderful location for the kids to ride bikes safely. Big kids would like waves at the beach but moms were happy with a calm surf. Can’t wait to come again.

This property was even better than we expected. Clean. open, easy to find, and plenty of room for our group. There were a few minor glitches probably left from awful storm in the Fall. The kitchen lights only turned out with the breaker, we never did figure out how to turn on the sitting room lights (but there were lamps), and some of the outside doors refused to lock. Other than that we were fine. Thank you.

Your home is beautiful, thank you for letting us spend our Christmas vacation here. We loved the spacious downstairs where the family could gather and enjoy time together. Every night we all gathered on the wrap around front porch and played music. It was an easy walk to the beach and pool and close to great restaurants.
